Majlis Qurtubah
A guest majlis that changes on one word: side lighting rises, the ceiling dims, and the blinds close.
The majlis in a Riyadh home is not an ordinary room — it is the face the house shows its guests. So the lighting here was treated as stage lighting, not illumination.
Six scenes, no more
We resisted the temptation of twenty scenes. Six the family can remember beat twenty where they recall two: welcome, seated, coffee, dinner, prayer, close.
- Smooth dimming on every circuit, with no flicker on transition.
- Two wall panels at both entrances, with Arabic voice control as a fallback.
- Motorised blinds tied to the coffee and close scenes.
